About the Role

The Sr. Developer, Enterprise Business Systems plays a pivotal role in the design, creation, and maintenance of the high-quality software that powers our in-house line of business applications. Built on the IBM iSeries platform, these systems are critical to our operations in distribution, inventory, accounts payable, and order entry.

In this position, you will bridge the gap between complex business needs and technical execution. You will collaborate closely with functional users and IT leadership to define requirements, translate them into effective technical solutions, and manage medium-scale projects. Your day-to-day involves developing code, maintaining repositories, and ensuring that all software updates include necessary security measures and quality deployments.

Beyond development, you will be a key partner in the user experience. You will design in-depth testing protocols, including end-user reviews, and provide orientation and training to ensure smooth adoption of new and modified systems. As a senior member of the team, you will also contribute to the evolution of our technical landscape by staying current on best practices and suggesting improvements to our workflows.
