The Weld Process Engineer serves as a critical bridge between technical metallurgy and hands-on manufacturing execution. In this dynamic environment, you will not only develop and optimize fabrication, welding, and finishing processes but also provide the technical leadership necessary to elevate organizational capability. This role is designed for an engineer who thrives on solving complex problems, combining deep expertise in TIG, MIG, and resistance welding with a practical approach to continuous improvement.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams, from design to production, to ensure components are both weldable and manufacturable throughout the product lifecycle. Your day-to-day involves defining precise parameters for sheet metal and welding applications, troubleshooting defects through root cause analysis, and mentoring production staff on best practices. By leading initiatives that enhance quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness, you will directly contribute to the success of high-stakes manufacturing projects.
