About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Water/Wastewater CAD Technician/Designer for our Lexington office to join a team of dedicated employees eager to develop their technical skills. This position plays a vital role in the design of water utility and wastewater utility infrastructure projects, assisting project managers and engineers in bringing these essential facilities to life.
In this role, you will be responsible for the design and layout of engineering drawings for projects such as utility line design, treatment plants, water tanks, pumping stations, and site grading. Your work will extend beyond the drafting table to include the preparation of construction quantities for cost estimating and assisting with permitting for governmental and regulatory agencies. The role also involves periodic field work associated with surveying and construction, ensuring that designs translate effectively from concept to reality.

Requirements
- verifiedVocational certificate or 2-year degree in Civil Technology or related field
- verified5+ years' experience in designing water/wastewater utility design projects in a consulting engineering environment
- verifiedCurrent AutoCAD and Civil 3D expertise
- verifiedExcellent oral and written English communication skills

Building Information Modeling (BIM)/3-D experience, ARC GIS skills, Surveying experience, Construction experience
