This role offers two primary shift schedules, both requiring availability for training on the 1st shift (Monday–Friday):
You will apply basic to intermediate technical skills to perform production operations within the aerospace industry. Your focus will be on fabricating, assembling, and repairing both metallic and nonmetallic parts and assemblies. This position is designed for individuals who can execute routine developmental learning assignments and apply standard solutions to repetitive work situations.
Your daily tasks will involve a hands-on approach to manufacturing. You will utilize hand and power tools—including routers, drill motors, and die grinders—to complete operations outlined in work instructions. A significant portion of your day will be dedicated to finishing materials, such as trimming parts, filing, grinding, deburring, beveling edges, and polishing surfaces to meet precise specifications.
You will assemble detail parts into subassemblies and complete units using written and verbal instructions, while also installing rivets, bolts, screws, clips, and adhesives. Quality control is a key component, requiring you to inspect assemblies and installations for conformance to specifications. Additionally, you will operate production machinery like hot or cold presses and band saws, while reviewing production documentation and assisting in the expediting of material flow.
