About the Role
The Warehouse Delivery Driver is a vital link in our operations, dedicated to increasing efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction. This role ensures the accurate and safe receipt, storage, and delivery of materials while managing the picking and packing processes for both pickups and deliveries.
Day in the Life
Your day begins by preparing the truck for operation, which includes overseeing the loading of goods, securing items, and verifying shipping papers. You will conduct thorough inspections of tires, lights, brakes, and fluids to ensure safe and cost-effective performance with a focus on preventive maintenance.
Once on the road, you will deliver orders via the most effective routes to meet established timeframes and customer needs, maintaining constant communication with the company to receive any updated instructions. Upon arrival, you will document delivery accuracy and receipt of orders, reporting any discrepancies immediately.
Back at the facility, you will be responsible for pulling, filling, packing, and setting up orders. You may also operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment as required. Throughout your shift, you will maintain a clean, neat, and safe facility, follow all safety guidelines in a drug-free workplace, and present a professional image while coordinating positively with supervisors, sales staff, and customers.
