The VoIP Engineer is a hands-on technical role responsible for supporting voice systems, network infrastructure, and physical connectivity across Challenger campuses and corporate offices. This position combines telecommunications support, basic networking, infrastructure installation, and help desk responsibilities. Work is performed both at a desk and onsite in classrooms, wiring closets, and equipment rooms.
This role is best suited for an IT professional who values clear standards, documentation, accountability, and practical problem-solving in real-world environments. You will be the backbone of our communication systems, ensuring seamless connectivity for our diverse educational community.
This position requires significant travel to Challenger locations in Utah, California, Nevada, Idaho, and Texas. You can expect approximately 2–3 months of travel per year, with heavier travel during the summer season. Mileage and per diem reimbursement are provided. The role also includes scheduled and occasional after-hours and weekend work to support critical infrastructure needs.
