We are seeking a dedicated General Education Classroom Teacher to join our Virtual Academy. In this district-wide, middle school position, you will serve as a vital link in our mission to deliver high-quality education to students regardless of their physical location. Your role is to foster a safe, orderly, and engaging learning environment that meets the diverse needs of our student body while adhering to district goals for continuous improvement and student achievement.
As a member of the Instruction department reporting to the Site Principal, you will employ a variety of instructional techniques to teach district-approved curriculum. Your day will involve guiding the learning process by establishing clear objectives, collaborating with peers on data analysis and planning, and communicating regularly with parents. You will be responsible for creating differentiated lesson plans, assessing student mastery through various methods, and maintaining accurate records in compliance with state and federal standards.
Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree and valid Oklahoma certification in the subject area taught. The selection process focuses on identifying educators who demonstrate sound judgment, adaptability, and the ability to build positive working relationships with staff and the public. Successful candidates will be expected to maintain regular and reliable attendance, meeting expectations of at least 95% for assigned responsibilities.
