The Veterinary Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting veterinarians and veterinary technicians, ensuring the well-being of pets, educating clients, and maintaining the highest standards of veterinary care. You will be an integral part of a fast-paced hospital environment, contributing to day-to-day efficiency and smooth operations.
In this role, you will act as an advocate for the overall success of the hospital. You will engage with team members and clients effectively, utilizing exceptional communication skills to adapt to individual needs and resolve customer concerns. Your day will involve maintaining thorough medical charting, assisting with patient intake and discharge, and educating clients about wellness plans and pet care. You will work in a dynamic setting that includes handling dogs, cats, and exotic animals, performing basic care tasks, and assisting with medical procedures.

Completion of an NAVTA-approved veterinary assistant program or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that demonstrates the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Skills: Surgery, Dentistry, Laboratory Procedures, Venipuncture, Restraint Techniques, Anesthesia, Surgical Assistance, Osha Standards, Emr, Scheduling.
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required; Completion of NAVTA-approved veterinary assistant program or equivalent (preferred).
