For those who want to put their love of pets into action, there are few jobs more rewarding than that of a Veterinary Assistant at Banfield Pet Hospital. As a key member of the hospital team, you will support and assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians, ensuring the safety of pets, clients, and associates while maintaining the continuity of quality veterinary care.
In this role, you will advocate for pets and educate clients on all aspects of pet health. You will provide professional, efficient, and exceptional service, making sure that clients and pets feel comfortable in the hospital environment. Your day-to-day work involves using technical skills within state practice acts and NAVTA guidelines to help maintain patient flow, communicate effectively with the veterinary team, and set up procedures that do not require direct veterinarian or vet tech assistance.
Beyond clinical duties, you will play a vital role in educating clients about Optimum Wellness Plans and the importance of preventive care. You will also have the opportunity to mentor other members of the hospital team, contributing to a culture of continuous improvement and shared success.
