Key Responsibilities
- check_circleVerify medication shelf life and ensure a safe, secure, and humane environment for animals
- check_circleGreet clients and patients, obtain weight and vital signs, and record patient history in the electronic medical record
- check_circleAdminister medications, drugs, vaccines, and monitor local or regional anesthesia
- check_circleConduct animal examinations, determine requirements, and explain animal status to owners
- check_circleAssist during surgical procedures by preparing instruments and maintaining sterile conditions
- check_circlePlace catheters, bandage wounds, and assemble required supplies for animal examinations
- check_circleMaintain medical records, clean cages and equipment, and sanitize operating areas
- check_circlePerform laboratory tests, diagnostic imaging, and collect biological samples
Requirements
- verified1-year previous experience as a Veterinary Assistant
