We are a growing autonomous vehicle technology company dedicated to advancing the future of transportation. Our mission is to develop safe, reliable, and scalable autonomous systems that will transform how people and goods move through the world.
As a Vehicle Operations Specialist, you will play a critical role in our AV development lifecycle by bridging the gap between theoretical software and real-world road conditions. This position is designed for individuals who are passionate about the early stages of autonomous technology and want to contribute directly to its evolution.
In this role, you will spend up to 6 hours per shift manually driving company vehicles to collect high-fidelity data. Your primary objective is to support engineers by identifying, documenting, and troubleshooting system behaviors in complex, real-world scenarios. You will execute specific test cases—ranging from navigating construction zones and roundabouts to managing heavy pedestrian traffic—while maintaining strict adherence to safety protocols and legal compliance.
The day-to-day rhythm involves performing pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure sensors (LiDAR, Cameras, Radar) are functioning correctly, and providing concise, high-quality feedback on non-ideal vehicle behaviors. You will work closely with Software and Hardware Engineers to troubleshoot issues as they arise, often testing new software builds daily in a rapidly changing environment. Success in this role requires a detail-oriented mindset, the ability to remain hyper-focused for long durations, and a strong defensive driving skillset.
Candidates selected for this role will begin on a 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM shift. Once the team is more established, you will transition to one of our established shifts:
Please note that this position is ongoing with no overtime available. We are looking for reliable professionals who are comfortable with flexible hours, including nights and weekends, as the nature of AV testing often requires adaptability.
We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, or disability status. We are committed to building a team that represents a variety of backgrounds, perspectives, and skills.
