About the Role
The Van Driver serves as a vital link in the Al Wooten Jr. Youth Center's mission, ensuring the safe and timely transportation of youth participants to and from the center, their schools, and various field trips or events. This position goes beyond driving; it involves maintaining a secure environment for all passengers, keeping the vehicle in pristine condition, and acting as a positive role model who engages with the youth while adhering to all organizational policies.
Schedule
This role operates on a part-time basis with specific afternoon hours:
- Monday: 12:30pm–4:00pm
- Tuesday: 2:30pm–4:30pm
- Wednesday: 1:00pm–5:00pm
- Thursday: 2:00pm–5:30pm
- Friday: 1:30pm–4:30pm
Working Conditions
The position requires working in varying weather conditions while driving and assisting passengers during boarding and exiting. The driver must be prepared to lift and carry up to 50 pounds for equipment and assist youth with mobility challenges as needed.

Requirements

Previous experience as a van driver, bus driver, or similar role. Experience working with youth.
