About the Role
As an Underground Utility Locator, you will enjoy the freedom of outdoor work while playing a critical role in community safety. This position is ideal for problem-solvers who are not afraid of hard work and take pride in completing a job well done. You will drive a company vehicle to various job sites, utilizing computer utility maps and specialized equipment to locate underground cables, pipes, and other utilities.
Your work ensures that excavation crews can proceed safely, preventing costly and dangerous damages. You will be trained to handle routine ticket requests, emergencies, and relocations, marking utility locations with paint and flags and communicating vital information to excavation personnel and authorities.
