Key Responsibilities
- check_circleOperate ultrasound and EKG equipment safely and properly
- check_circleTransport patients in wheelchairs and on gurneys as needed
- check_circleMaintain confidentiality of patient medical and financial records
- check_circleProduce high-quality diagnostic ultrasound images for physician interpretation
- check_circleConsult with physicians and radiologists regarding patient cases
- check_circleMaintain radiology images and ensure reports reach ordering physicians
- check_circleAdhere to ALARA principles and all safety regulations
- check_circleManage procurement, storage, and utilization of departmental supplies
Requirements
- verifiedGraduated from a Diagnostic Medical Sonography Certification Program or accredited radiology program
- verifiedRegistered ARDMS sonographer planning to become certified in the immediate future (if began ultrasound prior to 2000)
- verifiedKnowledge of state and federal confidentiality laws including HIPAA
