We are seeking a skilled CDL Truck Driver Trainer to join our team. In this position, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently training new drivers on pre-trip inspections, vehicle skills, and road operations. Your role is critical in upholding our commitment to safety and operational excellence.
As a trainer, you will serve as a mentor and guide, ensuring that new drivers not only master the technical aspects of operating a commercial vehicle but also internalize the company's rigorous safety protocols. You will work closely with the Lead Instructor to deliver high-quality training that prepares drivers for the demands of the road.
Your day will involve conducting thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, promptly reporting any maintenance or safety issues to ensure fleet readiness. You will maintain accurate records of all trips, including driver logs, mileage, and delivery receipts, while adhering to all traffic laws and federal hours-of-service requirements.
You will handle the necessary paperwork and documentation associated with the training process, ensuring compliance with all company policies. A key part of your role involves maintaining a clean and organized truck, both inside and out, and performing routine vehicle maintenance tasks. You will also provide exceptional customer service by interacting professionally with clients and handling any inquiries or concerns that arise.
Safety is at the core of our operations. You will ensure strict compliance with safety protocols, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe driving practices.
