Ready to put your truck-driving career in high gear? As a Full-time Local Class A CDL Truck Driver, you will join a team of professionals committed to delivering products safely and on time. You will drive late-model Penske Truck Leasing trucks equipped with best-in-class specs for comfort and advanced safety features, including inward and outward-facing in-cab cameras.
In this role, you will shuttle auto parts with an average of 24 stops per week. While you will be representing Penske, you will also be representing your clients, often driving their branded trucks and wearing their uniforms. This requires maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with customers daily.
As a floater, your schedule varies based on coverage needs, typically running Monday through Friday with occasional Saturdays. Dispatch shifts (AM or PM) are determined by a monthly shift bid. Despite the variability, you can expect to be home daily.
It is more than just driving yellow trucks; it is about incredible customer service and building relationships with your accounts. You will be part of a stable, nationwide company known for having the best equipment, great management, clear communication, and a fantastic safety record. We pay every Friday, and for most driving positions, you are home daily.
Your career will be on the move with us. We offer tons of training opportunities, and with locations across the nation, you have the flexibility to move to a new city if you choose. We are proud to haul freight for some of the world's leading brands.
To join our team, you must complete the Penske employment application and submit to a background investigation, which includes past employment, education, and criminal history, as well as a drug screening. This position is regulated by the Department of Transportation and designated as safety-sensitive; therefore, the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is required.
Penske is an Equal Opportunity Employer. We consider qualified applicants regardless of background.
