Truck Driver - OTR - CDL-A

About the Role

Truck Driving Companies are hiring an Over-the-Road (OTR) Truck Driver to transport freight safely and efficiently across long distances, including multi-state routes near you. This position requires extended time on the road, strict adherence to safety regulations, and the ability to meet scheduled delivery deadlines.

Day in the Life

As an OTR driver, you will operate a Class A commercial tractor-trailer in compliance with DOT regulations and company policies. You will perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance, and maintain accurate electronic logs, mileage records, and delivery documentation.

You will follow all Hours of Service requirements and safety standards, while properly securing cargo to prevent damage or loss during transit. Communication regularly with dispatch regarding route status, delays, and delivery updates, and promptly report any accidents, traffic incidents, or mechanical issues. Ensure all pickups and deliveries are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
