Just got your CDL-A? Start your Over-The-Road (OTR) career strong with Bison USA. This role is designed specifically for recent graduates who have their license and are ready to build real-world experience. From paid training to your first solo load, we support new drivers every mile of the way.
You will be part of a team that values steady OTR miles and consistent work. The position offers a clear path from orientation to driving your own assigned truck, ensuring you transition smoothly from the classroom to the road.
Our training program is built to set you up for success. You can expect three days of orientation followed by five days of classroom and terminal training. The core of your onboarding is four weeks of in-cab paid training with an experienced driver, though a fast-track option of two weeks is available based on your evaluation. Once training is complete, you will receive your own late-model van or reefer trailer and head home.
Drivers enjoy home time of 2-3 days every 2-3 weeks, running 2,000-2,500 weekly miles. We pride ourselves on 98% no-touch freight, allowing you to focus on driving. Our trucks are pet and rider-friendly, so you can bring someone or something you love along for the journey.
Bison USA is where drivers matter. We don't just hire you; we grow with you, offering career growth opportunities, full health benefits, 401(k) plans, and tuition reimbursement. If you have a positive attitude, a strong work ethic, and are hungry to learn, your trucking career starts here.
To join the team, you must hold a valid Class A CDL, be 21 or older, and have graduated from a CDL school within the last 90 days. You must also be willing to run OTR for 2–3 weeks at a time and pass all DOT screenings.
