About the Role
Bison USA is dedicated to helping new drivers build a strong future in the trucking industry, starting from day one. This position is specifically designed for CDL-A recent graduates who have completed their schooling within the last 90 days and are ready to launch their Over-The-Road (OTR) careers. The role offers a clear path from paid training to your first solo load, ensuring you have support every mile of the way.
As a driver with Bison, you will operate late-model van and reefer trailers on steady OTR routes, typically covering 2,000 to 2,500 miles per week. You can expect to be home 2-3 days every 2-3 weeks. The position focuses on 98% no-touch freight, allowing you to concentrate on driving. After completing the training program, you will be assigned your own truck and have the opportunity to bring a pet or rider along.
Training and Development
We invest in your success with a comprehensive training program. New drivers begin with 3 days of orientation followed by 5 days of classroom and terminal training. This is followed by 4 weeks of in-cab paid training with an experienced driver. A fast-track option is available for qualified candidates, reducing the in-cab training to 2 weeks based on evaluation. Upon completion, you will receive your own truck and head home.
