About the Role
As a Full-time Class A CDL Truck Driver, you will join a team of professionals committed to delivering products safely and on time. You will drive late-model Penske Truck Leasing trucks, equipped with best-in-class specs designed for comfort and safety features like inward and outward-facing in-cab cameras. Your primary mission is to deliver aluminum scrap and coils for a world leader in rolled aluminum products.
This role is about more than just driving; it is about incredible customer service and building relationships with your accounts. When you drive for Penske, you represent both the company and your clients, often driving their branded trucks and wearing their uniforms. You will be on the move with Penske, and so will your career. We offer tons of training opportunities, and with locations across the nation, you have the flexibility to move to a new city if you choose.
Day in the Life
You will work a 5-day work week, with nights and weekends required. Most of our driving positions offer the benefit of being home daily. You will maintain a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with customers while ensuring the safe transport of freight. The position requires the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner, accepting responsibility for your own safety as well as the safety of others.
Hiring Process
To join the team, you must complete the Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (including past employment, education, and criminal history), and undergo a drug screening. We also require a valid Class A CDL, a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card, and a clean DMV/MVR record compliant with federal law.
