Performance Foodservice is a broadline distributor for Performance Food Group, maintaining unique relationships with a variety of local customers including independent restaurants, hotels, healthcare facilities, schools, and quick-service eateries. About the Role
Food and food service delivery drivers fulfill a critical role in the country's food supply chain. As a CDL-A Driver, you are not only responsible for ensuring customer products arrive at their destination on time and in good condition, but you also serve as the face of our company, building lasting relationships with our customers.
You will drive a tractor-trailer or straight truck on intrastate and interstate local, over-the-road (OTR), shuttle, overnight, and drive-and-drop routes. Your mission is to deliver and/or unload food and food-related products in a safe and timely manner, strictly adhering to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. Hiring Process

Key Responsibilities

- check_circleEnsure tractor, trailer, and freight are appropriately locked and secured
- check_circleMaintain general housekeeping duties in tractor and loading dock areas
- check_circleDrive tractor trailer or straight truck on local, over-the-road, shuttle, and overnight routes
- check_circleDeliver food products to customers according to predetermined route schedules
- check_circleVerify delivery of items with customers and obtain proper signatures
- check_circleCollect money and load customer returns onto trailer
- check_circlePerform damage control checks and scan items for removal
- check_circleComplete daily records of hours of service and enter data in log
- check_circlePerform pre-trip and post-trip safety inspections of tractor, truck, and trailer
Requirements
