About the Role
The Truck Driver serves as a vital link between our distribution team and our customers, driving company profitability and satisfaction through complete, accurate, and on-time deliveries. In this role, you represent the company with a high standard of professionalism, safety, and cost-effectiveness, ensuring full compliance with DOT and other applicable regulations.
You will work closely with the Branch Manager and Warehouse Manager to manage the end-to-end delivery process. Your day involves preparing trucks for operation by overseeing loading and securing items, verifying shipping papers, and documenting delivery accuracy. You will navigate the most effective routes to meet established time frames while maintaining constant communication with the company to receive updated instructions. Additionally, you are responsible for inspecting vehicle components like tires, lights, and brakes to ensure safe performance and performing occasional warehouse and counter duties as needed.
