About the Role
As a Truck Driver, you will be a key member of our Transportation & Logistics operations, responsible for the safe, timely, and accurate delivery of our products. This role is more than just driving; it is about representing Core-Mark's customer-first culture at every stop. You will provide professional, courteous service to store managers and staff, resolving basic delivery issues on the spot or coordinating with dispatch for solutions.
In addition to operating company vehicles in compliance with DOT regulations, you will ensure proper loading, securing, and unloading of freight. You may also assist with rotating stock and handling temperature-sensitive items in accordance with food safety guidelines. Key Responsibilities
- check_circleSafely operate a commercial truck to deliver products to retail customers on assigned routes
- check_circlePerform and document pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections in compliance with DOT standards
- check_circleLoad, unload, and secure freight using pallet jacks while following safe lifting practices
- check_circleVerify product quantities against invoices, obtain signatures, and handle returns or discrepancies
- check_circleMaintain accurate electronic logs, delivery records, and route documentation using ELDs
- check_circleProvide professional customer service to store managers and address basic delivery issues
- check_circleCommunicate effectively with dispatch and warehouse teams regarding delays or route changes
- check_circleAssist with rotating stock or placing products in designated store areas when requested
- check_circleReport vehicle maintenance needs, safety hazards, and incidents immediately according to procedures
Requirements
- verifiedValid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- verifiedClean driving record meeting DOT and company standards
- verifiedCurrent DOT medical examiner's certificate
- verifiedAbility to pass pre-employment drug and background checks
- verifiedKnowledge of DOT regulations and hours-of-service rules
- verifiedExperience with electronic logging devices (ELDs) and GPS routing systems preferred
