About the Opportunity

Family Dollar is seeking experienced CDL-A drivers to join a dedicated fleet based in Odessa, TX. This role is designed for drivers who want to stay active on the road while maintaining a consistent schedule. Drivers will operate company-provided tandem-axle sleeper trucks pulling 53' dry van trailers, featuring top-of-the-line automatic transmissions.

The Role

In this position, you will deliver dry freight to customer stores across Eastern Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, Southern Nevada, Southern Utah, and Southern Colorado. On average, drivers cover 2,000 miles per week, handling 2-3 loads with 2-6 stops per load. A key aspect of this role is the hands-on nature of the work; drivers are compensated for every unload, utilizing gravity rollers to manage freight at delivery locations.

Schedule & Home Time

This position offers a dedicated route with weekly home time, including a 34-hour reset. While the exact day of return may vary slightly depending on freight needs, the schedule is structured to ensure drivers return home regularly. Additionally, drivers have the option to take their trucks home, provided they are parked in a secure, manager-approved location.

Compensation & Benefits

Drivers are compensated through a combination of CPM (cents per mile), pay per load, and a Safe & On-Time Mileage Bonus of up to 3% of mileage pay. The role includes weekly pay and access to a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, life insurance, AD&D, HSA, PTO, and 401(k) participation. Additional incentives include bonus programs and an unlimited cash referral program.
