In this role, you will administer treatments as prescribed, operate radiation equipment safely, verify treatment plans, and collaborate closely with oncologists, dosimetrists, and nursing staff. You will adapt quickly to different healthcare facility protocols, workflows, and technologies as a traveling therapist, ensuring safe and effective care in varied clinical environments.

Key Responsibilities
- check_circleDeliver radiation therapy treatments to patients according to physician prescriptions and treatment plans
- check_circleOperate and troubleshoot linear accelerators and associated radiation therapy equipment safely
- check_circlePerform patient simulations and assist with CT simulation, immobilization, and treatment planning setup
- check_circleVerify patient identity, treatment fields, and dosimetry parameters prior to each treatment session
- check_circlePosition patients accurately using appropriate immobilization devices, lasers, and imaging guidance
- check_circleMonitor patients before, during, and after treatment, reporting changes in condition to the clinical team
- check_circleDocument all treatments, setup details, and patient responses in the electronic medical record accurately
- check_circleCollaborate with radiation oncologists, medical physicists, dosimetrists, and nurses to ensure safe care
- check_circleAdhere to all radiation safety, infection control, and regulatory guidelines in varied clinical environments

Requirements
- verifiedCurrent ARRT (T) certification in Radiation Therapy
- verifiedActive state radiation therapy license in the assignment state(s)
- verifiedCurrent BLS certification (American Heart Association or equivalent)
- verifiedExperience with linear accelerators and treatment planning/record-and-verify systems (e.g., Varian, Elekta, MOSAIQ, ARIA)
