About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Stepdown Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel assignment at a facility in Virginia Beach, Virginia. In this role, you will provide specialized care to patients transitioning from intensive care to medical-surgical or general inpatient units. These patients require frequent monitoring and complex nursing interventions.

Your day will involve assessing and managing complex patient needs, administering medications and treatments, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, patient-centered care. You will monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and telemetry data, responding appropriately to abnormalities and life-saving situations. Additionally, you will prepare equipment for cardiac-related procedures, initiate patient education plans focusing on cardiac health and lifestyle modifications, and maintain strict confidentiality and safety protocols.
