You will join the Medicine Unit 2 (6K) at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, a specialized unit caring for adult surgical patients recovering from bariatric, urology, general, ENT, plastic, and GYN surgeries, as well as trauma overflow. This unit also serves as a Living Kidney Donor Transplant Unit. The role involves managing patients with complex conditions including diabetes, COPD, congestive heart failure, kidney disease, and oncology surgery needs. You will work in a dynamic environment with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6-7, utilizing electronic medical record systems and managing equipment such as epidurals, PCA pumps, wound vacs, and vascular devices.
