You will join the 24-bed Advanced Heart Failure Unit at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, a fast-paced, high-acuity environment dedicated to advanced heart failure therapies and a collaborative, multidisciplinary approach. In this Progressive Care Unit (PCU) setting, you will manage a diverse caseload including patients with ventricular assist device (VAD) complications, NSTEMI, coronary artery disease, arrhythmias, transplant rejection, pulmonary arterial hypertension, and sepsis. With patient ratios ranging from 2 to 4:1, you will utilize specialized equipment such as LVADs, CADD Solis VIP, and bedside monitors while titrating complex vasoactive drips and managing critical medications.
