Harlem Hospital Center in New York, NY, is seeking an experienced Nurse Supervisor to provide leadership coverage for the Maternal Child Health Department. This full-time, 14-week contract offers a competitive leadership pay rate and is designed for a seasoned nursing leader with strong operational, supervisory, and patient care management experience.
As the Nurse Supervisor, you will lead and support nursing operations within the Maternal Child Health Department. Your focus will be on developing and implementing programs to improve patient care quality and employee performance. You will monitor clinical performance, collaborate with nurse managers on corrective actions, and maintain systems for medication error tracking and staff counseling documentation.
The role requires ensuring compliance with nursing standards, hospital policies, and regulatory requirements while supporting staff development, operational efficiency, and patient satisfaction initiatives. You will also provide a leadership presence during designated off-shift and weekend coverage as determined by leadership.
Candidates meeting the requirements for an active RN License in New York State, BLS Certification, and a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing will be considered. The process includes Primary Source Verification through NYSED. Qualified applicants with a Master's Degree in Nursing and Director-level nursing leadership experience are highly preferred.
