About the Position
TravelNurseSource is partnering with Care Career to locate a qualified Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) in Des Moines, Iowa (50309). This 13-week contract begins on June 8, 2026, covering day shifts for three 12-hour days per week.
Labor and Delivery RNs play a vital role for expecting and new mothers, providing care during labor and immediately following birth. Beyond clinical duties, these nurses offer essential emotional and physical support to patients experiencing complications and collaborate closely with physicians to ensure safe deliveries. The role extends to providing one-on-one education to pregnant women and new mothers in hospital settings, promoting health and bonding between mother and child.

Application & Onboarding
To proceed with this opportunity, candidates must complete specific onboarding requirements, including the Core Mandatory Exam (Nursing), Core Mandatory Part II (Nursing), L&D Skills assessment, and the Labor and Delivery RN Exam. Additionally, candidates must pass the RN Pharmacology A exam and hold a valid RN State License.
