About the Position
TravelNurseSource is partnering with talent4health to recruit a qualified Registered Nurse for the Endoscopy department at McLaren Northern in Petoskey, Michigan. This 13-week contract begins on June 1, 2026, covering a Days shift schedule (5 days x 8 hours).
McLaren Northern is committed to high standards of patient care and workforce reliability. The facility has implemented a strict 3-strike attendance policy effective June 1, 2024, designed to advocate for the patient population. Contractors who are absent from a scheduled shift or arrive more than 20 minutes late three times will face immediate termination. Exceptions are reviewed on a case-by-case basis for documented situations such as communicable diseases or hospitalization.
The Role Environment
While the primary focus is the Endoscopy unit, the broader context includes a Level 3 Medical-Surgical Unit that cares for a diverse patient population with complex conditions, including infectious diseases, oncology, behavioral health, and hospice care. This 26-bed unit operates as a fast-paced environment intended to intellectually challenge both graduate and experienced nurses. The facility is also pioneering a Virtual Nursing staffing model, fostering a team approach that allows the RN more time at the bedside and less time on documentation.
