About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Travel RN for the Emergency Department in Yakima, Washington. This role offers the chance to work within a Level III trauma center that serves a diverse patient population ranging from neonates to geriatrics. The department handles complex cases including pediatric medical and trauma, stroke (administering TNK), cardiac (cath lab), behavioral health, and substance use disorders. You will be part of a fast-paced environment where patients are stabilized and shipped to neurosurgery or multi-system trauma centers as needed.

The Emergency Department is organized into zones, including a fast-track "green zone" with 13 beds. You will work 12-hour night shifts (7p-7a) for 36 hours per week. The patient-to-nurse ratio typically ranges from 1:3 to 1:5, depending on acuity. This position requires flexibility with weekends, which occur every other week, though back-to-back weekends may occasionally be required.
