Travel Nurse RN - Cardiovascular Operating Room

About the Position

TravelNurseSource is partnering with Cynet Health to recruit a qualified Registered Nurse for the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) in Sacramento, California. This 13-week contract offers a dynamic opportunity to work within a fast-paced and busy surgical environment where surgeons are available 24/7 during regular hours.

The Role

In this position, you will serve as a scrub nurse in the CVOR, working alongside nurse aides and Cardiovascular Surgical Technologists (CSTs). The role demands strong confidence in CVOR skills, including the ability to read and interpret EKG strips. While ventilator experience is not required, the position involves on-call responsibilities to manage cases that run long, with overnight call scheduled once a week.

Schedules are posted for two pay periods and adjusted as needed. Candidates are expected to cover three shifts on weekends per month, with rotations for weekend and holiday shifts aligning with core staff. Charting is performed via a designated electronic health record system. Please note that cancellations can occur up to four shifts per 13-week assignment.
