About the Role
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a Med/Surg position in Chariton, Iowa. This 13-week travel assignment begins on June 15, 2026, and requires a minimum of two years of acute care experience.
In this role, you will provide direct patient care under limited supervision, administering medications and IV solutions while developing and modifying individualized plans of care for a Medical/Surgical patient population. You will collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and other departments to ensure continuity of care and effective communication of patient needs. The position involves maintaining accurate and timely documentation, supporting infection control policies, and participating in orientation and in-service training as required.
The schedule consists of 12-hour day shifts (3x12 hours per week), with hours varying from 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM. The role requires working every sixth weekend and participating in holiday and weekend rotation coverage as scheduled.
