About the Assignment
We are seeking an experienced ICU RN for a 13-week night shift travel contract at a Level I Trauma, Magnet-designated acute care hospital in Springfield, IL. This facility is a 562-bed hospital with a primary focus on trauma and burn ICU patients, while also managing medical and cardiac overflow cases. The average daily census ranges from 10 to 12 patients.
The role involves a night shift schedule of three 12-hour shifts (18:45–07:15) per week. Candidates must be prepared to work every other weekend and may be required to float within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate hospital within their scope of practice. Charting is performed using Cerner, and free parking is available with a permit obtained during orientation.

- First-time travelers are not eligible for this position.
- Travel pairs are not accepted; candidates must be placed individually.
- Any permanent or PRN employee of the Memorial Hospital System must have been separated for at least 12 months before applying as a traveler.
- Candidates must be available to work 2 out of 3 major holidays.
- A Request to Off (RTO) of 5 days or fewer is preferred; requests exceeding 5 days require facility approval.
- Scrubs may be any solid color.
