Key Responsibilities
- check_circleAssess, triage, and stabilize patients in fast-paced emergency settings
- check_circleAdminister medications and perform emergency interventions per physician orders
- check_circleCollaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to develop care plans
- check_circleOperate and monitor ER equipment including cardiac monitors and ventilators
- check_circleDocument assessments, treatments, and patient responses in electronic health records
- check_circleEducate patients and families on conditions, treatments, and discharge instructions
- check_circleAdapt quickly to new hospital environments, policies, and workflows
- check_circleAdhere to infection control, safety, and regulatory standards at all times
Requirements
- verifiedActive, unrestricted RN license in applicable state(s) or compact license
- verifiedCurrent BLS certification
- verifiedCurrent ACLS certification
- verifiedPALS strongly preferred
- verifiedTNCC preferred
- verifiedENPC a plus
- verifiedMinimum of 3 years recent ER experience in an acute care hospital
- verifiedExperience with electronic health records (EHR) systems
Nice to Have
PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification, TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certification, and ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course) certification.
