About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel assignment in Boston, Massachusetts. In this role, you will be a vital member of the surgical team, making a positive impact on patient lives while enjoying the flexibility of travel nursing.
Your day will involve collaborating closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, perfusionists, and the broader surgical team to ensure the optimization of patient outcomes. You will be responsible for preparing the operating room, assembling necessary equipment and implants, and ensuring all supplies are sterile and functional. Throughout the procedure, you will assist with safe patient positioning, actively participate in the Universal Protocol and timeout, and handle specimens with precision. Your expertise will be crucial in responding effectively to emergencies, such as cardiac arrest, and coordinating immediate post-surgical care until the patient is handed off to the recovery team.
