About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel assignment at a facility in Des Moines, Iowa. In this role, you will be the vital link between the surgical team and the patient, ensuring the highest standards of care during critical procedures.
Your day will involve preparing the operating room for complex cardiovascular and cardiothoracic surgeries, including open and closed heart procedures. You will collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and perfusionists to optimize patient outcomes. From verifying the sterility and functionality of equipment to assisting with safe patient positioning and draping, your expertise ensures the surgical environment is secure. You will also play a key role in the Universal Protocol, handling specimens with precision, and coordinating immediate post-surgical care until the patient is handed off to the recovery team.
