Key Responsibilities
- check_circlePerform high-quality CT imaging studies according to physician orders and protocols
- check_circlePrepare and position patients to ensure safety, comfort, and accurate anatomical visualization
- check_circleOperate, troubleshoot, and maintain CT scanners and related imaging equipment
- check_circleVerify patient identity, obtain medical history, and screen for contrast media contraindications
- check_circleAdminister or assist with IV contrast injections while monitoring for adverse reactions
- check_circleCollaborate with radiologists and healthcare teams to optimize diagnostic outcomes
- check_circleAdhere to ALARA principles, radiation safety standards, and infection control policies
- check_circleEducate patients and families on exam procedures and post-scan expectations
- check_circleContribute to continuous quality improvement and uphold safety culture
- check_circleAccurately document procedures, maintain patient records, and manage PACS image uploads
Requirements
- verifiedARRT registered Radiologic Technologist (R.T.(R))
- verifiedARRT post-primary certification in Computed Tomography (R.T.(R)(CT)) preferred or required per facility
- verifiedCurrent state radiologic technologist license where applicable
- verifiedCurrent BLS/CPR certification
- verifiedIV certification per state/facility regulations
Nice to Have
ARRT post-primary certification in Computed Tomography (R.T.(R)(CT)) and travel assignment experience.
