About the Role
We are seeking an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) RN for an immediate travel assignment in Augusta, Georgia. This 12-week position focuses on providing the most direct care to patients in life-threatening situations. As an ICU Travel Nurse, you will evaluate and monitor patients, document physician-directed care, and implement patient care plans. Your role involves delegating to other care providers as appropriate and offering education and support to patient families, potentially addressing long-term care needs.
In this environment, you will perform bedside care, administer and record prescribed medications, and order or evaluate diagnostic tests. You will interpret lab reports, monitor specialized equipment, and ensure the proper functioning of catheters, leads, and tubing. The role requires physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds, as well as the ability to treat patients who may be confused, agitated, or uncooperative while navigating hazards such as chemical exposure or infectious diseases.
Hiring Process
Candidates should have 1-2 years of recent acute care experience. Required certifications include ACLS, BLS, and NIH.
