This opportunity is a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) travel assignment located in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The position is set within a long-term care (LTC) nursing home environment, offering a chance to work with residents in a dedicated care setting.
As a COTA, you will provide essential occupational therapy services to residents under the plan of care developed in collaboration with a supervising OT. Your day-to-day will involve performing routine evaluations, assisting with treatment planning, and implementing OT interventions. You will facilitate activities of daily living training, therapeutic activities, and adaptive equipment recommendations while monitoring resident progress. Effective collaboration is key; you will communicate regularly with the interdisciplinary team, participate in care conferences, and assist with discharge planning. Ensuring safety, maintaining infection control protocols, and adhering to accurate documentation standards are central to your success in this role.
