Moffatt & Nichol is actively seeking a Virginia Transportation Leader to join our transportation practice in our Richmond or Norfolk Offices. This role is designed to establish, guide, direct, and oversee M&N’s Transportation Practice in Virginia. You will partner with the Business Unit Leader and other Transportation Leaders to outline M&N’s strategic approach, identify a transportation roadmap for successful growth, evaluate project performance, develop a strategic plan, and assess new business opportunities for all multimodal transportation.
In this position, you will maintain key client relationships through deep knowledge of VDOT and local agencies, actively pursuing strategic business and delivering high-quality services. You will collaborate with clients, regulatory agencies, diverse engineering disciplines, sub-consultants, and vendors. Your day-to-day will involve supporting the development and implementation of a transportation vision for the continued diversification of the M&N Transportation Practice, while partnering with leadership to monitor and track projects regarding scope, schedule, budget, risks, and deliverables.
You will be responsible for client satisfaction through successful project delivery and winning repeat business. This includes developing local and regional visibility by actively participating in external industry organizations and partnering in the development of a strategy plan to diversify the Transportation Practice. You will also implement forward-thinking strategies for advancing data, technology, and innovation, while identifying transportation opportunities and growing the project pipeline. As a Project Manager or Principal in Charge on strategic transportation projects, you will manage multi-disciplinary teams to deliver project plans, specifications, and reports, with a focus on large multi-disciplinary highway projects, including traditional bid-build and alternate delivery methods like Design-Build and PPP.
