The Transit Service Planner serves as a vital professional and technical resource for Park City Transit, leading system planning efforts to design routes and drive continuous service improvement. This role exists to balance cost, customer experience, operational performance, and system reliability while aligning transit strategies with community needs and City goals.\n In this position, you will integrate data analysis, operational requirements, and stakeholder input to refine routes, schedules, and service strategies. You will collaborate with internal departments, regional partners, and elected officials to support broader mobility, land use, and sustainability objectives. The role requires a deep understanding of Park City's transit routes, system design, and operational challenges, ensuring that service delivery is optimized through data-driven decision-making.
Work is performed primarily in an office setting. However, the role involves occasional non-traditional working hours, including rotating shifts, on-call duties, evenings, weekends, and holidays to support public involvement and special events. The position may also require lifting up to 25 lbs for temporary roadway devices or meeting materials.
