About the Role
The Video Team is seeking a savvy Temp Lead Editor/Post Production Supervisor to help create compelling, shareable news videos in long-form digital formats. This full-time, three-month role is designed for an "idea factory" who believes news doesn't have to be boring and appreciates both the odd, unconventional stories and the important ones.
You will execute stories from conception through completion, conducting deep research and pitching across a variety of topics including national news, tabloid fare, and societal trends. The ideal candidate possesses a can-do attitude, a strong aesthetic eye with cinematic tendencies, and a track record of creating YouTube content that leverages the latest formats and trends distinct from traditional TV. You will work in a fast-paced, fun environment where you must edit quickly and with flourish, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-volume, documentary-style content.
Note: This is a temporary engagement facilitated through a third-party vendor. While the role supports The New York Post, employment and payroll will be managed by the vendor. The position follows a hybrid work model with an expectation of being on-site in the New York metro area three days per week.
