The Technician III, Infrastructure and Clean Utilities plays a critical role in maintaining the operational integrity of Global Innovation and Global Supply facilities in Athens, GA. This position is essential for ensuring the health and welfare of study animals while maintaining a safe environment for employees. The role directly impacts site performance, regulatory compliance, quality assurance, and future innovation timelines by keeping complex utility systems running efficiently.
You will be a key member of the Infrastructure and Clean Utilities Maintenance Team, working within a highly regulated environment. Your work ensures the reliability of critical systems including high purity water, clean steam, compressed air, and cold storage. By minimizing downtime and responding promptly to emergency maintenance requests, you help support continuous site operations and project activities.
This role sits at the intersection of technical expertise and regulatory compliance. The performance of infrastructure and clean utilities has a profound impact on the safety of employees and the welfare of animals in study facilities. You will collaborate closely with team leaders, maintenance planners, operators, engineers, and external contractors to execute projects and repairs. The position requires fostering strong relationships with internal stakeholders and vendors to provide quintessential service and ensure all activities align with corporate policies and GXP regulations.
Candidates interested in this 12-month assignment should note the specific onboarding and shift structure. The onboarding process begins with a one-week training period (Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM). This is followed by seven weeks of training on a Sunday to Thursday schedule (1st Shift, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM). Upon completion of onboarding, the role transitions to the permanent Team B schedule: Tuesday to Saturday, 2nd Shift (4:00 PM to 12:30 AM).
