Year Up United is an intensive, one-year or less job training program designed to bridge the gap between young adults and professional careers. Our mission is to provide participants with in-classroom skill development, access to high-quality internships, and personalized coaching and mentorship. By combining technical and professional training with direct access to our industry-leading talent placement firm, YUPRO Placement, we empower individuals to launch successful careers in the Seattle/Bellevue area.
Participants engage in a rigorous curriculum covering fields such as Application Development, Banking, Business Operations, IT Support, Project Management, Data Analytics, and Network Security & Support. Beyond the classroom, the program offers a unique opportunity to intern with leading organizations including Microsoft, Accenture, Salesforce, and Seattle Children's Hospital.
During the internship phase, students earn an educational stipend of $525 per week while gaining real-world experience. The program focuses on developing professional business and communication skills, interviewing techniques, networking strategies, and resume building. This holistic approach ensures that graduates are fully prepared to enter the workforce.
Year Up United is committed to measurable success. 72% of our graduates are employed or enrolled in postsecondary education within four months of graduation. Those who enter the workforce earn an average starting salary of $53,000 per year.
To join the program, applicants must be high school graduates or GED recipients who are eligible to work in the U.S. Candidates should be highly motivated to learn, available Monday through Friday for the duration of the program, and must not have obtained a Bachelor's degree.
