As a senior statistician, data scientist, or clinical programmer, this position serves a dual purpose: managing a team of four or more direct reports while exerting major influence on the leadership and technical capabilities of the department. You may serve in various leadership capacities, such as Global Statistical Lead, Global Programmer Lead, Real World Data Scientist Lead, Lead Product Statistician, Statistical Biomarker Lead, or Regional/Site Head.
You will be responsible for the optimal development and assignment of reports to Astellas asset teams, study teams, or deliverables teams. This role involves working independently and effectively as a matrix team member within M&D, supporting senior management with decision-making at the asset and portfolio level. You will represent Astellas on statistical matters related to clinical data, real-world data (RWD), biomarkers, patient-reported outcomes (PROs), and PK/PD analysis during meetings with regulatory authorities, key opinion leaders, and health technology assessment (HTA) bodies.
You will oversee the most complex and critical projects from pre-candidate nomination through life cycle management, impacting strategies for proof of concept, approval, and post-submission phases. Your work will ensure the statistical and scientific soundness of all input and deliverables, advising asset teams on challenging design and analysis issues.
Our organizational values of Innovation, Integrity, and Impact sit at the heart of what we do. We come together as 'One Astellas', working with courage and a sense of urgency, remaining outcome-focused and accountable for our personal contributions.
