The East Baton Rouge Parish School System is seeking a dedicated Teacher for Regular Education and English Language Learners (ESS) to join our team in Baton Rouge, LA. This position is vital for fostering an inclusive and high-expectation learning environment where every student can thrive.
In this role, you will collaborate closely with students, parents, and colleagues to build strong, positive relationships that drive continuous improvement in student learning. You will design and deliver instruction tailored to diverse learning styles and needs, ensuring all students are actively engaged in meeting their individual and classroom objectives. Working in partnership with students, you will help establish classroom missions and learning goals, utilizing strategies that celebrate progress and align with state and district standards.
Your day-to-day responsibilities include evaluating student performance through data analysis to adjust instruction effectively, implementing best practices to enhance learning outcomes, and maintaining accurate documentation to ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations. You will manage classroom procedures to create a safe, orderly, and positive culture, while modeling professional behavior and ethical standards that promote mutual respect and diversity. Additionally, you will oversee assistant teachers, student teachers, and volunteers to ensure the classroom operates efficiently, and you will actively participate in professional meetings and parent conferences.
