About the Opportunity
Our client, a publicly traded company headquartered in the Atlanta area, is seeking a Tax Manager to join its corporate tax team. This role offers a strong blend of ASC 740 tax provision work, GAAP financial reporting, and tax compliance, making it an excellent opportunity for a technically strong tax professional ready to broaden their scope and visibility within a public company environment.
The position is well-suited for someone coming from public accounting or a corporate tax role at either the Senior or Manager level who enjoys hands-on tax work, values collaboration with accounting and finance teams, and wants exposure to complex tax and reporting matters.

Key Responsibilities
- check_circlePrepare and review quarterly and annual income tax provisions in accordance with ASC 740
- check_circleAnalyze permanent and temporary differences, valuation allowances, and rate reconciliations
- check_circleSupport GAAP financial reporting requirements including tax disclosures in Form 10-Q and 10-K filings
- check_circlePrepare and review federal, state, and local income tax returns and multi-state filings
- check_circleCoordinate with external tax advisors and auditors during audits and SOX-related reviews
- check_circleSupport tax planning initiatives and respond to auditor inquiries
- check_circleCollaborate with FP&A, accounting, and legal teams on tax-related matters and transactions
Requirements
- verifiedBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- verifiedCPA and/or MST required
- verifiedPublic accounting background strongly preferred
- verifiedSolid knowledge of ASC 740 and U.S. GAAP
- verifiedExperience with corporate income tax compliance and multi-state taxation
