Key Responsibilities
- check_circleProvide one-on-one career counseling to help Soldiers develop individualized transition goals
- check_circleAssist Service Members and families in creating Individual Transition Plans and refining résumés
- check_circleCoordinate and facilitate DOL Employment Workshops and VA Benefits Briefings
- check_circleDeliver comprehensive Transition Briefings to inform Soldiers of available services and eligibility
- check_circleLead regional outreach activities to promote transition services and support Soldiers
- check_circleEnsure compliance with the Program Work Statement and Contract Installation Manager instructions
- check_circleCollect and analyze participant feedback to evaluate program effectiveness and identify improvements
- check_circleConduct pre-separation counseling sessions to ensure awareness of required resources
Requirements
- verifiedMaster's degree preferred in Training and Development, HR Management, Counseling, or related field
- verifiedBachelor's degree accepted with additional experience in career counseling, education, or related field
- verifiedMinimum two (2) years of career counseling, education, or related experience
- verifiedTwo (2) years of experience with the Military lifestyle highly desired
- verifiedIn-depth understanding of Military culture and Command structure
- verifiedIf non-military, at least four (4) years of counseling experience required
- verifiedDemonstrated experience in program evaluations and utilizing customer feedback
- verifiedStrong verbal and written communication skills
- verifiedFamiliarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within career counseling and transition services
Nice to Have
Master's degree in Training and Development, HR Management, Counseling, or a related field. Two years of experience with the Military lifestyle. Demonstrated experience in program evaluations and utilizing customer feedback to improve program effectiveness. Curriculum development experience.
